The musician Kolfreyja Sól Bogadóttir, better known as Alaska1867, says she began showing addictive behavior at the age of twelve and started drinking at sixteen. She says the root of her addiction was self-hatred, and she used candy, alcohol, and stronger substances as a pacifier.
