Set policy interest rates in the shadow of worsening inflation prospects

The Minister of Finance says it is uncertain what decision the Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Iceland will make on interest rates at the committee’s meeting tomorrow morning. Jón Bjarki Bentsson, chief economist at Íslandsbanki, will shortly present his forecast for interest rates and review the outlook for the economy.
